Just in time, here’s a look at our updated nursery.
Some of my favorite children’s book are ready and waiting to be read. We’re waiting on these white lower case letters from Pottery Barn to come in. They’ll spell out the new baby’s name above the changing table/dresser.
Here’s “Poppy’s” hair bow and headband holder. Andy made the white frame from scrape wood. I added the gingham ribbon and fabric flowers. The “Poppy” banner hanging underneath was made by my sweet friend, Pam, and was a decoration at my “Sprinkle.”
The hair bow holder and three pieces of butterfly artwork are new (and inexpensive) additions we picked up over the past few months. The only thing we wanted to add but were not able to find was a small area rug.
Crib, changing table/dress, book shelf, and rocking chair: Stickley
The crib is no longer available, but the other items are. The finish is “Onondaga.”
Bedding: Carousel Designs
The crib skirt and bumper pad (which obviously we’ll remove) were custom made by Carousel Designs before Lauren was born. They are absolutely great to work with and have a HUGE selection of designer fabrics to choose from. We loved that they are based in Georgia and everything is made in the USA! We ordered extra fabric by the yard which I used to sew the blanket and pillow (on rocking chair) and the window valance. I cannot say enough good things about this company, and I highly recommend them if you’re looking for something higher-end that not ever other mom and baby will have.
